History of lamborghini cars and the classics
Every classic luxury car has a history, but none is as colorful as the Lamborghini. One of the most famous cars in the world started as a result of a tractor company dispute. Ferruccio Lamborghini was a member of the Air Force during World War II, where he specialized in mechanics and fixing engines. Once removed from service, he opened a car and motorcycle repair shop in Italy where he bought surplus military machines and made them into tractors. This business was very popular, and he expanded into building commercial air conditioning units and oil-burning heaters.
Lamborghini was very wealthy from his companies and collected sports cars as a hobby. In 1963, he bought a Ferrari 250. After having issues with the clutch, and a discussion and dispute with Enzo Ferrari, he decided to build his own car. This propelled him to open his own auto factory, building a large and ultramodern factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese. He hired ex-employees from Ferrari to create a car that would reach 150 mph, which ended up being the Lamborghini 350GT. The car was introduced at the Turnin Auto Show, which paved the way for a whole line of luxury cars. The 400 GT followed the original design.
Known for their eclectic and exciting evolution of the car, there are a number of special edition cars that cannot be ignored. In 1988, the 25th Anniversary Countach had the widest tires on the road. Another edition was the Sesto Elemento, the lightest Lamborghini ever, with a 5.2 liter V10. There were only 20 cars available for purchase. In 2012, the Aventador J, which is a 700-hp V12, was released and is regarded as the wildest, most iconic Lamborghini creation. 2004 brought the 40th Anniversary Edition Murcielagos, with the Murcielago LP640 Versace being unveiled at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. This was available in a couple or roadster, in white or black and only had 20 available for purchase. Styles by Versace and Lamborghini, the car had custom interiors with the Versace plaque, matching Versace luggage, driving shoes, gloves and a matching watch – luxury at its finest.
These are a part of the history of classic luxury cars and one of the sexiest known to man. All of these super cars can be found in AL AIN CLASS motors in Dubai. For more information, contact us today!
